CEO

Chris brings over 20 years of Business Experience to velofix. His Senior Management experience includes growing a company to $90 million and a successful IPO, launching an Internet startup that has raised $45 million in financing and driving growth at a $30 billion dollar consumer packaged goods company.

Chris is active in endurance sports and his most recent results are a 2:54 Boston Marathon & a 38th overall finish at IronMan Canada 2012.

Chris is a graduate of the SFU Executive Management Program.

Davide’s business experience includes President of a Real Estate Investment Trust and Senior Management at a Renewable Energy Company.

Davide has represented Canada at the Olympic and World Cup levels of soccer. He finished his professional career in Europe and North America in 2005.

Davide has a Finance Degree from the Pamplin School of Business at the University of Portland.

Boris is a Master Certified Bicycle Mechanic from the Barnett Bicycle Institute Colorado Springs, Colorado.

He has 9+ Years of Bike Shop Mechanical & Management experience.

Boris also is a 3-time Canadian National Track Champion.

He is a graduate for the Bachelor of Business Administration program at Langara College.

Ward’s career started as a management consultant at Accenture. After a number of years he decided to follow his passion and was active in several Senior Executive roles at Canyon Bicycles in Germany. As Head of International Market Development and Head of Sales he was part of the international roll out in many new markets.

Ward joined velofix in 2016 to take on the challenge of making velofix a global company and bring the best customer service experience in this changing industry

Ward holds a degree in Engineering and a Masters title in International business at the University of Maastricht, the Netherlands.

Ward is based in Maastricht, the Netherlands and lives on holy cycling ground: The Amstel Gold race, Liege-Bastogne-Liege and many other classics pass by his door. In his free time he is an avid cyclist who cycles more than 10.000 Km per year.

Charles Chang holds an equity position and Board Member seat with velofix.

Charles is a born entrepreneur with a passion for innovation, active living and mentoring. Charles is the President and Founder of Lyra Growth Partners, which was started in September 2015. Prior to Lyra, Charles was the President and Founder of Vega.

Started from scratch from his basement in 2004 and financed by his life savings, a second mortgage on his house and four credit cards, Charles lead Vega to become an iconic lifestyle brand of clean, plant-based nutritional products sold in over 20,000 stores across North America.

Honoring a triple bottom line approach to business and recognizing people were the company’s greatest source of competitive advantage, Vega and Charles have received many accolades and awards, including: Profit 100 Fastest Growing Companies, Best Workplaces, BIV 40 Under 40, Canada’s Best Managed Companies and E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year.

In August 2015, Vega was sold to White Wave Foods for US$550 million cash. Charles is proud that corporate headquarters will remain in Vancouver, all Vega’s employees have been retained and Vega’s executive management team continue to run the company.

As one door closes, another opens and so Lyra was born: The constellation in which Vega was its brightest star seeks fresh, young stars looking to shine brighter and reach further.

Charles lives in Vancouver, BC and is an active member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO), an avid mountain biker, skier and Whistlerite wannabe.

Jim Treliving serves as co -chairman and co- owner of T&M Management Services Ltd. alongside his long time business partner George Melville. T&M is a multi-faceted organization with a diverse group of businesses including: Boston Pizza International, the leading casual dining brand in Canada with over 370 locations, Boston Pizza Royalties Income Fund, Boston’s The Gourmet Pizza located throughout the United States and Mexico, Boston Pizza Foundation Future Prospects, Kitchen Partners Ltd., Mr. Lube, Frogbox, velofix, White Rock Commercial the Naramata Benchlands and several others.

Jim also stars as one of the five Dragons on the highly successful CBC’s reality TV show, Dragon’s Den which he has been on for all 11 seasons. In addition to his various business and family commitments Jim is also a dedicated philanthropist and best-selling author with his book Decisions which made Canada’s and North America’s best sellers list for non-fiction with all proceeds from the book donated to Canadian charities.

As the Manager of Franchise Support and Operations, Adam’s role is to support velofix Franchise Partners in all aspects of their business. As the first point of contact for Franchise Partners, Adam helps develop and evaluate programs, gain commercial accounts, plan and execute events, and ensure velofix Partners have all the tools they need to run their business successfully.
Adam is also a certified mechanic and owns velofix Ottawa.
When not wrenching or supporting velofix Franchise Partners, Adam can be found coaching for 3 different clubs, organizing events of his own, and riding his bike.

Cody brings over 10 years of business experience in the fields of marketing, sales, and project management. Most recently, a Marketing Manager for Whole Foods, implementing strategies to develop business and brand loyalty.

In 2008, Cody cycled 4,000 miles from Seattle, WA to Washington DC to benefit people with disabilities.
Cody has a Bachelor of Communications and an MBA from Arizona State University.

Jen has played competitive soccer for over 30 years and now enjoys coaching her two daughters.

Megan has several years of marketing and communications experience in the franchise world. At velofix, she is responsible for event management and support, website and social media support, and vendor relations while also supporting Franchise Partners with marketing their business.

Megan has a Bachelor of Communications from Simon Fraser University.

Megan played soccer at a competitive level for 18 years, but is loving the transition into cycling!

Rachel Varn is the Business Development Manager for velofix in the Eastern United States. She brings nearly ten years of franchise development experience to her role at velofix where she has the opportunity to work with both prospective franchisees and with velofix franchise partners to support their business growth.

Prior to velofix, Rachel led franchise development efforts for national franchisors, both mature and emerging, in endurance sports retail, health services and education.

Formerly a collegiate runner, Rachel embraced triathlon as a new challenge and quickly became a competitive age group athlete. A 3-time USA Triathlon All-America and 2 time Ironman All World Athlete, Rachel has earned age group and overall podium finishes at every triathlon distance from sprint to Ironman, most recently placing 4th overall female at Ironman Maryland 2015. Rachel is also a Boston Marathon qualifier and will get to race in her hometown in 2017.

Nathan Killam

By 2005, Nathan weighed in at over 200lbs and led a fast-food driven lifestyle.

After years of dedication and hard work, in 2009 he became a National Amateur Champion, and since has had many top-10 Ironman and Challenge Family finishes racing as a professional, while working a full-time career as a Fire Fighter.

He has lofty goals for the ITU Long Course World Championships in 2016, and is aiming for a Kona slot in the coming years. Nathan loves triathlon, but even more loves to share his infectiously positive attitude with those he interacts with.

velofix is thrilled to support Killam as he continues to test his limits and pursue Kona in the years to come.
