Director, Operations Management

 

Purpose

 

This role is responsible for the operational success and continuity of the velofix Franchise Network.  This individual will work with cross-functional support teams to ensure store and program level operations are implemented, executed, monitored and measured.

 

  • Driving profitable market share growth of the Franchise Business
  • Reviewing, implementing and driving Franchise level productivity and performance to align with targets
  • Managing and monitoring the Franchise business regarding performance and compliance with company standards, aiming at continuously optimizing the business in collaboration with the Franchise Partners
  • Collaborating with the other functions within the HQ team including Programs, Marketing, Finance and Customer Care to deliver seamless operational support to Franchise Partners and velofix HQ

 

Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • Act as the Operational Lead across all North American markets, representing the Franchise business model internally and externally
  • Track, analyze and report the Franchise Business development on a regular basis including Franchise P&L, store performance, and operational KPIs, store profitability, Franchise partner profitability
  • Define and communicate the Franchise Strategy for the markets, including but not limited to Franchise Partner Strategy, financial targets, operational KPI targets, operational execution and priorities
  • Manage and build a team to create, monitor and nurture collaborative business relationships with the Franchise Partners and key employees of the Franchisees
  • Manage the opening, onboarding, and training of new Franchise Partners, and monitoring the operational processes related to the store opening, training and sustainment
  • Host and moderate key meetings with Franchise partners, including leadership of the FAC (Franchise Advisory Council)
  • Implement, execute, monitor, communicate and measure custom programs developed by Program Management for Franchisees

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of direct multi-unit retail store management or direct Franchise support experience, ideally topped with additional financial monitoring and measurement experience
  • Experience managing a small team across multi-discipline areas
  • Proven track record of high collaboration & negotiation skills
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills
  • An operational mindset with the ability and desire to execute and deliver

 

Requisite Education and Experience

 

  • University degree preferably with a Business Operations, Organizational Effectiveness and/or Sales Marketing focus
  • Understanding of Retail, Finance, Operations Management, and Programs Marketing
  • Enjoys working in a dynamic environment and living an active and healthy lifestyle
