velofix Clark County
Cycling in the Pacific Northwest is world class. Portland is famous for its bike shops and cycling resources. However, the service options in Clark County are not nearly as plentiful as they are across the river in Portland. velofix Clark County is here to service all of your biking needs from repair, re-build, new build, minor to major tune-ups and overhauls, accessories and new bike purchases. The best thing about velofix is we come to you, wherever and whenever it is convenient, so you aren’t wasting your valuable time getting stuck in traffic hauling your bike to a shop.
Meet your Mechanic
Owner & Operator
Jamie has been riding, working on, building and fitting bicycles of all makes and models for 25+ years. Growing up in Utah, Jamie spent the 90’s mountain biking in Moab, Brian Head, Park City and all the other cycling hot spots in the area. In 2000 he relocated to Vancouver, WA and met more like minded cyclists, entering into the world of road racing, cyclocross, MTB racing, road touring and bike-packing. Most recent routes include Durango to Moab, Jasper N.P. to Glacier N.P. and the Oregon Outback.
Like any passionate cyclist, he also loves to work on his own bikes (of which there are many) and those of his friends. When given the opportunity to study wheel building from Sugar Wheel Works and become a certified mechanic with the internationally known United Bicycle Institute in Portland in 2014, he was able to turn his hobby and passion into a second career.
Jamie also serves the community as a full-time FireFighter/Paramedic with the Vancouver Fire Department. He was a member of the Washington State Region 4 Technical Rescue/Urban Search and Rescue team for 10 years. He has been a professional First Responder for 22 years.
Jamie spends his free time bike touring on and off road and has recently jumped back into the road racing game. Jamie also volunteers with the local bicycle non-profit Bike Clark County. He looks forward to meeting all of your cycling needs in the Clark County area for many years to come.
