Meet the Owner/Operator
Kirk is a Kentucky native who recently retired from military service as a U.S. Navy Medical Service Corps Officer. He is a long-time recreational and competitive cyclist who previously competed as a nationally ranked triathlete. His most notable accomplishments include a 69th place finish at the 1991 Ironman Championship (Kona, HI) and 1st overall, 1995 Armed Forces Triathlon Championship.
Having the opportunity to live in cycling crazed municipalities such as Washington DC, Seattle WA, and Stuttgart Germany, Kirk is excited about returning to Kentucky and eager to share his passion for cycling with Louisville’s vibrant cycling community. In 2017, he attained his bicycle mechanic certification from the United Bicycle Institute in Ashland, OR.
Meet Your Mechanic
Brian Andriot is a Louisville native and local bike shop fixture since 2006. Having managed several bicycle service departments, Brian is well connected and committed to delivering the finest service and support to all his customers. He is a dedicated mechanic with Shimano S-Tec certification credentials and graduate of the Bill Woodul Race Mechanic Program at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO. Brian has extensive experience working on all types of bicycles and will make an outstanding addition to the velofix team of professional mechanics.
In addition to his mechanic background, Brian is a certified yoga instructor with Yoga East, is an avid mountaineer and backpacking specialist, and a volunteer with the Kentucky Mountain Bike Association (KMBA).
