Meet the Owner/Operator

Kirk JohnsonKirk is a Kentucky native who recently retired from military service as a U.S. Navy Medical Service Corps Officer. He is a long-time recreational and competitive cyclist who previously competed as a nationally ranked triathlete.  His most notable accomplishments include a 69th place finish at the 1991 Ironman Championship (Kona, HI) and 1st overall, 1995 Armed Forces Triathlon Championship.

Having the opportunity to live in cycling crazed municipalities such as Washington DC, Seattle WA, and Stuttgart Germany, Kirk is excited about returning to Kentucky and eager to share his passion for cycling with Louisville’s vibrant cycling community. In 2017, he attained his bicycle mechanic certification from the United Bicycle Institute in Ashland, OR.
