velofix Sea to Sky

Bike repair service for West Vancouver, North Vancouver, Burnaby, Deep Cove, Squamish and Whistler.

From the legendary tech trails of the North Shore, to the grueling climbs up Seymour and Cypress, to the Sea to Sky spin up to Whistler, to the epic XC loops of the Squamish valley. Fog shrouded peaks, brisk descents out of the clouds, epic loam lines, hammering out hill repeats with your friends…we’re lucky enough to have world class cycling available in every genre imaginable, all right at our back door. The roads, trails and mountains of the Sea to Sky corridor provide some of the most beautiful riding in all of British Columbia. With so many options for road cycling, mountain biking and trail riding, the need for a fast and convenient bike repair service is much needed.

Variety requires versatility, so we ensure that our technicians, and our vehicles, are capable of servicing the whole spectrum of bikes that are out there. From polishing up your 80s Nishiki and making those cantilevers crisp, to a quick pre-fondo tweak on your Di2, to swapping out the crud in your Fox 40 for fresh seals and oil, we do it all. In keeping with this, we’ll be supporting a variety of events spanning all genres in the Sea to Sky area, from Toonie races, to cyclocross events, to the Whistler Gran Fondo. Keep an eye out for a velofix jersey or a pair of velofix socks on your next ride, and you might just have caught one of us in the act!

velofix Sea to Sky is owned by partners Ryan Torvik and Olympian Simon Whitfield.

Tristan Federico

Tristan was born and raised in Burnaby and has been working in the bike industry for the past four years. In 2012, he attended the United Bicycle Institute in Portland, Oregon and received his Professional Bicycle Technician Certification.

He loves cycling because it really is a sport for anyone at any age. As a father of a 6 year old, he loves that he and his daughter can both get on their bikes and have an equally enjoyable time.

He loves being able help people get the most out of their ride, because that’s what it’s all about.

Ben Adams

After three years of serving the Kitsilano area through the basement of one of Vancouver’s oldest bike shops, Ben found the velofix team a life goal sought after: make a personal and positive impact in someone’s bicycling experience everyday.  Growing up in Massachusetts, U.S in the days of 80 lumen bottle cage lights and hardtails his riding has progressed a bit.  Spending a decade riding trails in Colorado, servicing all of Alpine Sports, and Vail resorts tech needs, he honed in a skill set on high volume, high demand, high altitude clientele.

Finally after multiple mud season pilgrimages spent in the Whistler bike park the opportunity to live in legendary B.C. arose and he quickly mobilized.  Making the playful goal of ride every black/red trail on Trailforks and living by the motto “life’s too short for boring trail”, try not to judge the condition of his bike’s too harshly, they have a hard life.  All this mountain talk, how about the skinny tires! He is also an avid commuter and prides himself on the ice covered roads and sideways rain of Vancouver’s most amazing weather, until a recent knee injury averaging 200+ days a year on wheels, most of them commuting..

With his “Hambassador” Jake the dog as copilot many days, they are here to service your bike and send you on the next ride.  Just remember he is new here, so be friendly and let him in on your best eatery or “you haven’t lived in B.C. until you’ve…” those are his favorites.
