There are numerous road teams and groups all over the greater Sacramento area, from commuters to racers and everything in between. They all end up using parts or all of the world class American River Bike Trail. It runs 32 miles from downtown Sacramento out to Folsom all on a separated from traffic dedicated right of way.
For the dirt rider this area is gateway to numerous world-class mountain bike venues from Auburn and Nevada City to Downieville and Lake Tahoe. There is more world class off road riding than one could experience in a lifetime.
